WhisperPower delivering power system to NAM for unmanned oil/gas rig

26-08-2013

NAM, a joint venture between Shell and Esso, is an exploration and production company with authentic Dutch roots and has its headquarters in Assen in the Netherlands. Their core business is exploring for and producing oil and gas, both on land and offshore in the Netherlands.

The company is employing 1700 people. We obtained an order for three power systems, comprising a 1200 Ah battery, 12 kW generator, 10 kW inverter power and 10 kW / peak Solar Power System. The system is mounted on a container and will be installed on a unmanned oil/ gaz rig shortly. The power system is delivering power for the navigation lights, alarm and detection instruments and the remote communication system.

The customer can now discontinue his contract with a surveillance vessel which costs appr. 40.000 EUR per week. We experience a substantial demand from the market for similar systems!
