Since 2010, WhisperPower has been active in the hybrid power supply market. Power systems that provide high-quality electricity with minimal use of fossil technology in places where there is no permanent grid connection. Many hundreds of systems have been delivered to customers around the world in recent years. In 2021, a new power concept was developed for the TV and film industry that has been used satisfactorily by customers including rental companies in that industry since 2022.
VTFF Green Tec Show
On 20.02.2023, in the course of the Berlinale (International Film Festival in Berlin), the VTFF Green Tec also took place in Berlin. Here we showed our W-SQ40 Hybrid Sprinter and we got a very big positive response. Among others, various TV production companies, producers, etc.
The topic of “green energy” or “climate neutrality” is currently very important in film production. There are many different concepts, mostly still on a prototype basis. In the end, however, our “WhisperPower concept” based on battery bank, inverter and diesel generator has come a long way from a prototype. We know how it works and we know from years of experience that it works very well. In addition, with the approval of Kubota for the fuels “HVO” and “GTL”, we now have the possibility to reduce CO2 emissions almost completely.
We talk about “Green Shooting” and “Green Motion” in film and television. In this field, there is now the profession of “Green Consultant”. This GC is responsible for making sure that there is at least 80% sustainability on a film set. If this is met, additional funding can be obtained.
As already mentioned at the beginning, the whole topic of “Green energy” is only now gaining momentum in this area.
